Higher maintenance...

On our Blue Mts trip, a male friend told another friend of mine that she wasnt "high maintenance" but she was "higher maintenance" than someone else.

In a late night discussion in the Boy's Room, i asked that male friend...what was "high maintenance"? What did they all think made a girl a "High Maintenance"? I also asked whether he thought i was high maintenance?

Now according to another male friend, to simplify what he said...he summed it up as "a girl who says something and you have to do it her way"!

The friend who said my friend was "higher maintenance than another friend" told me that he thought that i was "higher than the higher maintenance friend", but i wasnt "high maintenance"?!?!?!

Does that make sense?

He said it all depended on how much a girl expected which made her high maintenance.

I admit, when i was younger...i had a lot of expectations...and it may have been due to the fact that i was waiting for my knight in shining armour to come and sweep me off my feet.

But since i have grown older...i accept the fact that the things i desire are just my idealistic views...parts of a dream...parts of a fantasy...more importantly i dont expect any of it from a guy anymore, not today, it wouldnt be real!

What really bugged me was when we started talking about something else...i think it was about romantic gestures. i said that i longed to receive a hand written love letter from any guy that i liked. The male friend who said i was "higher than higher maintenance" interjected and said "See, thats an expectation, which is why i said that u were higher maintenance!"

How the *fudge* is saying what i desire to receive from a guy i liked in terms of romantic gestures, a stupid expectation??? I dont expect that i will get it. I dont think i will receive one. It was just my sentiments on a romantic thing to do for a girl and since i am a girl, it was a valid opinion!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
