Shoes.

I love shoes.

I get it from my mother.

Its a shame that my feet are bigger than hers! She has these beautiful stilettos from the 80's that she only wore a couple of times, because then she had me. And being a mother of two, the stilettos just werent practical enough for day to day wear.

My mother hasnt touched those glorious shoes since then, and since she is a grandmother of two, she wont wear it ever again. She thinks that she is too old now, and more importantly...she doesnt think that its safe to wear such high heels. Which is true, i wouldnt want her to fall and break any bones because of it...

My shoe fetish started quite young.

My mother bought me plenty of shoes...and when i started to shop for myself...all i bought was shoes, bags, and accessories. Oh, i bought clothes too...but mostly shoes and bags.

I was just thinking the other day...when i dressed a tad daggy to work because i was running late. I chose the wrong shoes to wear with my trousers...and i looked in dire need of a makeover!

Shoes automatically give your outfit an *oomph*!

I love my red Nine West heels! I wear it with basic black or with my jeans and it transforms my sometimes ultra conservative look into something tre chic!

I have a thing, where i dont like wearing open toed shoes to work...it looks unprofessional to me...i made it a rule never to wear them to work, unless it was casual friday! That was the only exception.

When i go on my lunch break and i look around at these women dressed in suits & skirts, and then i look at what shoes they have on...it shocks me when they wear wrong shoes! I'm not referring to the women in joggers, cos they walked a long distance to get there and they were walking for exercise - so they were being sensible...im referring to those women who just make bad shoe choices.

They wear really nice clothes, but the shoes fail to compliment the whole look. I'm not saying that they are wearing the wrong brands...im talking about the wrong style.

That day that i looked daggy...i was dressed daggy too...and my shoes were just wrong! I realised that it looked horrible when i got to work - a bit late...i know! Thankfully, i dont have to meet and great clients, i only speak to them over the phone...hehehee...

I really believe that the shoes and accessories you choose to wear can make or break your outfit...i wonder if those women realise that their choices may be giving off the wrong perception.
