You will notice that the titles of each post will be written in French from now on.
Reason being...im trying to learn more French - beyond greeting...for the week I am in Paris.
I have been bringing my phrase book to work so that i can read/mouth/learn on the train...i swear i must look like a nutter...but since when did i really care what the people on the train thought of me?
I'm surprised by some of the things i have found in my little Lonely Planet French Phrase book...
Like:
C'est une garce - She is a b!tch
C'est un con - He is a prick
Il a roule sa bosse - He gets around
I have two other aids that i have bought that come with a CD - one of which i learnt to ask if you were married/single...and thats all i remember from it. But this little phrase book seems to be much more useful and handy for learning compared to the other aids. Surprising huh?
Now, lets see if i remember any of it without looking at the book for the pronounciations!
I appear to grasp "reading" French...but as to holding a conversation or speaking properly while asking for something, i dont think im quite there yet.
At least i know how to ask if they speak English.
