Mum and Dad went to a wedding on Saturday and my older bro and wife were invited too.
It was a union between an Asian bride and a Caucasian groom...I think that set the precedence for the conversation between Mum and Sis-in-law. Sis-in-law said to Mum:
"I have never seen THAT many Asian girls with Caucasian guys!"
On Sunday, Mum and i went to get last minute ingredients for our Chinese New Year Feast this weekend. In the car Mum was relaying the convo she had with Sis-in-law about the mixed unions. How some of these Asian girls were even pregnant...
I'm like, well...if they are married to these guys, it would be only a matter of time before these girls get pregnant!!!

Then the funniest thing was uttered by her, with a horrified tone in her voice:
"Are the Asian guys SO bad now??? So, bad that Asian girls need to turn to Caucasian guys?"
And i didnt want to really reply with an affirmation that what she questioned was true...that thats what it seems like to me. Asian guys are being beaten at the dating game by Caucasian/Western guys.
Why do i say that? Asian guys are reknowned for standing on the sideline watching.
If a guy doesnt even attempt to speak to a girl, he wont get far...and we all know that.
What girl wants to be swept off her feet by a guy who cant even muster a "hello"?
I told her, that in this day and age, she shouldnt be surprised when all my cousins who are in high school now or just entering uni end up with Caucasian guys...and she shouldnt be surprised if i ended up with a Caucasian guy.

Well yeah, Asian bloke myself and I really can't say I've had trouble trying to hook up with Asian women but that's because I'm a little more expressive and open than your average Asian bloke.
Irks me though when Asian blokes are not given a "equal opportunity" i.e. White washed Asian chicks who simply reject Asian guys based on their race/ethnic background.

Personal opinion here, I dont discriminate against Asian guys...to be honest, i would rather an Asian guy simply because he would, hopefully, understand all the Asian quirks my parents and family have. Meaning, less for me to explain.
I would like to think that i am easy to talk to and i make an effort to speak to someone if they approach me.
But i get the feeling that Asian guys are perhaps not confident enough to approach me in the first place.
Dont know why, really...
So, i end up talking to Non-Asians simply because they are talking to me.
From observing the people i know, there are just as many Asian guys who choose to go out with Non-Asian girls, as much as there are Asian girls who prefer dating Non-Asian guys. It goes both ways.
