My Saturday was brilliant! =)
Im sure many have heard of "Humble Pie"...i had a slice of humble pie on Saturday...as i had wished for...it did not rain...well...it didn't rain on my parade!
I caught the train to Museum...and along the way...there was a chinese family ( I heard them speak manderin, cantonese and vietnamese )...they had two children. One boy and one girl. They were two naughty children...the mother and the kids sat in a three-seater on the train, while the father sat next to me on the two-seater. The father would reprimand the kids every five minutes...he would *tisk* them...while their mother would be sitting there saying how "hard it is to raise the two of them"..."how long she must suffer raising the two of them"...
I was sitting there hoping and praying that they would get off at Central Station...but they lingered...and by the time we got to Wynyard Station...they were asking eachother whether it was Museum Station yet?
>_<
I got the impression that they were going to the Two Emperors also...*sigh*...
Low and behold...they did.
They were lost, or so i am assuming, because i arrived at the Museum at about 10am or so...and i went into the exhibition for about half an hour and then i saw them inside. Inside the Museum, they were less annoying, those children. They actually behaved better in the Museum than on the train.
I decided to walk around and view the exhibition once...and then i would pick my subjects to draw.
I walked around and around, reading the little blurbs about each item on display.
I noticed that the guy who i showed my ticket to, happened to follow me as i wondered around...he even got a colleague to come up and talk to me...
The conversation went as follows:
MGF: "ooh, thats a really good drawing, are u an artist?"
Me(with a smile): "no. i'm not."
MGF: "but u draw so well. You know u picked a difficult subject to draw, the most difficult out of this whole exhibition."
Me: "oh, okay."
MGF: "Why did you pick this one?" (He pointed to the base of a bell stand from the Qin Dynasty.)
Me: "oh, i like it."
MGF: "Well, I hope you become a successful artist, and from the looks of it, you will be."
Me: "Thank you."
In my mind i was thinking, you are such a fool...thinking that i would believe that u thought i was an artist? NO!
