Will you "Marry Me"?

My friend was dumped on Monday, by the love of her life...because it was his calling...to become...a Priest!

She is fine, and has found inner strength to go on...but *ugh*...
her perspective: you love this guy so much and yet he loves God more...I think she is in either a deep denial or her feelings have really been resolved! I remember the first time the idea popped into her bf's head and she told me about it. They are both devout Catholics, but she just couldnt fathom that he would join the ministry - until his Priest mentioned it to him one day!

She said to me just then on the phone that she was okay with it, I mean how do you compete with God? and he feels its his calling. She asked him this morning if he would marry her? When she said that, i was like "OMG!?" Last attempt to keep him!?!?!?! WHY?

What she meant was "Will you marry me off to another guy...when the time comes?" *sigh* She said that they are still the best of friends, and she really wants him to be part of her Wedding Day, when it happens.

All i can say is that i would be hugely crushed.
